What this site collects

This site does not require an account and does not collect personal data simply because you visit it. Personal data is collected only when you choose to submit one of the forms.

Build request form

When you submit a build request, the following is collected:

• Your name
• Your business name, if you provide one
• Your email address
• Your phone number, if you provide one
• The project type and budget range you select
• The project description you write

General enquiry form

When you send a general enquiry, the following is collected:

• Your name
• Your email address
• The message you write

Email

If you email the studio directly, that message and any information in it is retained in the studio's mailbox so the correspondence can be handled.

Why it is collected

Information submitted through this site is used for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to discuss and carry out work you have asked about. It is not used to build a marketing list, is not sold, and is not shared with third parties for their own purposes.

Hosting and processing

This site is hosted on Netlify, and form submissions are processed and stored by Netlify's form handling service before reaching the studio. Netlify's servers may be located outside Malaysia, which means your submission may be transferred and stored abroad. Netlify acts as a processor on the studio's behalf and is bound by its own data protection terms.

Standard web server logs — including IP address, browser type and the pages requested — are generated by the hosting provider as part of delivering the site. These are used for security and operational purposes only.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and does not run a third-party analytics product. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers to retrieve them; Google may log that request as part of serving the font files.

How long it is kept

Enquiry and request submissions are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and, where it leads to work, for the duration of that engagement and any period afterwards required for business or tax records. Submissions that do not lead anywhere are deleted once they are no longer useful.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and access to submissions is limited to the studio. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive personal information — medical records, identity documents, payment card details — through the forms on this site.

Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia), you have rights in relation to personal data the studio holds about you, including the right to:

• Ask what personal data is held about you and request a copy of it
• Ask for inaccurate or incomplete personal data to be corrected
• Ask for your personal data to be deleted, where it is no longer needed
• Withdraw consent to further processing, and ask that it stops
• Limit how your personal data is processed

To exercise any of these, email contact@hourglasstechnology.com. You will get a response within a reasonable period, and there is no charge for a straightforward request.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. The studio does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated as the site or the studio's practices change. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
